"Casa Violeta is a colonial house located in the Santiago neighborhood. It's on a non-bus street, and is an easy walk to the markets, restaurants, and parques in central Mérida. The house is quaintly furnished and has not been overly designed/renovated. Carlos responds promptly to all communiques, and it was clear he was committed to making our stay pleasant."

"We loved the house. It has a lovely pool. The kitchen is well equipped with plates, utensils and appliances. The high ceilings give the house a spacious feel and provide good air circulation with both fans and air conditioners. The bedrooms upstairs are spacious and comfortable. The closets are large with lots of hangars. The bedrooms have fans and air conditioners. The beds are large and comfortable. Each bedroom has a private bath with shower. The bus goes right past the house coming and going from downtown. The front room and patio keeps out the street noise. Carlos and Liz are great hosts and they and their team strive to make your stay enjoyable. They give immediate attention to any problem with the house big or small. Uber has been in Mérida for about a year and you can get downtown for 30 pesos. Or it is a 20 minute walk. Around the corner is a bake shop, a pizza shop and a small tienda. We rented cars from Veloz for 1100 to 1500 pesos per day depending on size. All insurance included and unlimited mileage. Delivered to the house and picked up afterwards."

"I absolutely adored this home. The photos truly don't do it justice! I was worried about this place initially, because there were no reviews listed, but all my worries were put to rest as soon as someone from Carlos' team introduced herself and took me on a tour of the home. It was huge, beautiful, clean, and authentic. Even the shower's water pressure was nice. It was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of adventure. The backyard was a paradise. Downtown was walk-able, and the locals were so friendly. I can't say enough, I wish I could go back this weekend! The next time I travel to Mexico, this will be the place I attempt to book! Thanks again Carlos!"
